During the day helps me to relax. I am only watching in the morning and then a few opinion shows at night. I gave my Stalin presentation today. I was ridiculously nervous about it. I'm not sure why, I used to talk in public all the time at the doctors office. I think it's cuz I don't feel as comfortable with talking about Stalin as I do talking about tubal ligations and vaginal deliveries. But in the end, it went well. Now I am relaxing while Billy is at the recruiting office. We still haven't heard back on the re-enlistment, but it feels like things are coming along. He is going up to the office everyday to PT. Yesterday he went to MEPS to do one last eye test for the new jobs he picked. While billy was there he ran into one of the kids from the recruiting office, and it turns out he was there because he was about to go to boot camp that day. I thought that was neat, he asked billy for advice for boot camp and I just thought that maybe I was being silly for freaking out so much about my report. Here this young man was getting ready to go become a Marine for the next 12 weeks...it made me see things in perspective. So my presentation went well, and I know that kid had a rough day yesterday and today, but billy thinks he'll make it. The kid asked billy yesterday, "Sgt Googe, will you be at the recruiting office when I get back?" (because billy will be recruiting after his re-enlistment comes in until he has to report to his duty station) I thought that was sweet, but I hope that billy gets the chance to be at the recruiting office long enough to see the kid after he becomes a Marine.
So from now on I am going to remember, that there are harder things that people are doing than me, so I need to relax. I also need to know that I can do anything.
I love you guys!
